Easter in All it's White Glory

Happy Easter from Oliver Woods.

Earlier in the week we had sunshine and 50 degree weather. I even toyed with the idea of packing away the snowpants and starting sone spring cleaning. Then on May 21st---Another Snowstorm! So this spring season was greate3d not with a fluffy bunny-but with a snowbunny

IS IT SPRING YET??????????????????????? It's time for Prancer to go back to the North Pole!

Easter did arrive --with it's message of hope and promise!

Easter Vigil Service at St. Roberts was inspirationa;. From the large bomb fire in the back the Easter candle is lit. The flame is then shared until everyone in church is holding on a lit candle. The church is all in darkness except for the light carried by the buildings occupants. The soft glow of hope. What a wonderful way to remind ourselves that WE carry the light of Christ. In all that we say and do!

The Gospel is read the church lights are switched on and we are brought into the light once more. It was for me a moment-there have been many Easters in my life. Some standing in a church of that same parish wearing a hat with a itchy elastic band on it holding a candle, and standing with my mother. On this night I stood with husband, child, aunts and cousins. Together as we are brought into the light. The Message...my prayer...blessing for all.

Much too warm here for snowbunnies. Forecast for tomorrow is 90! That's too dang hot for the end of March, I don't care who you are. Send me some snow. And a reindeer for Miss Katie.

Beautiful pictures. Miss you. See you in July (when, hopefully, it will at least be spring).

Love you guys.
