Shingles

So-we all know the brown recluse spider is a demon! What we didn't know is that it plays havoc with our immune system which it wealkens. So now enter the shingles. My entire arm and an especially red area on my hands has raised white blisters on a red background. It feels like a root canal throbbing all over my arm.

Doctor number 3 at the hospital puts me on a entire new set of med's. I won't get into the ucky details- you can look them up if interested. Basically I can only type with one hand, and my left arm is raw with needles pickling. And I am told 3-5 weeks to recover.....

Okay God--enough already right!!!! Meanwhile I am giving the icemaker a workout-and offering the suffering up to the Lord. My grandma used to say in all this pain there must be a lesson somewhere-so if you figure out what the lesson is-someone please tell me.

When Last I posted I saw a light at the end of the tunnel-little did I know it was the light from a freight train about to drive over the top of me.

Tim has job interview number 3-dare I hope!

(Music up playing an old county song...I hear that train a coming...it's coming down the track..)

Along came a Spider...

Most you know I love my pool. Swimming-So-o-o-o- Last week Thursday I took a little dip at night and threw my towel on the deck chair. Getting out I wrapped the towel around me as ususal. After showering I felt this strange burning sensation. I couldn't see anything on my arm so I figured I rubbed it against the concrete side of the pool. Wrong!

During the night the burning sensations repeated and my armed itched. I figured I slept on it the wrong way.

So of to work I went. By the end of Friday every joint in my body hurt! I mean really hurt. I got home and there on my arm was what at first appeared to be a small round bruise. However it had two holes in the middle. Now I knew I had been bite-but by what?

By Saturday morning I was in real pain and off to the doctor I went. It was indeed a spider bite and I was having a nasty reaction to it. So home I went with antibiotics and pain medications. I had a horrible weekend-pain discomfort and pills bigger than the wound area. However no happy ending yet! By Tuesday my arm and hand has a huge ugly rash. The spider poison reacted badly with the antibiotics and now I allergic to both the spider and the antibiotics!

So plan B is Steriods and Claritan... apparently I am supposed to feel lucky that I caught the bite in time. Now just think of how tiny that spider was and what a small amount of poison was injected! Yet that little bug has made my life miserable. So...

Arizonia has Coyotes

Florida Alligators

and Michigan the Brown Recluse Spider!

Somehow the song the Eensy Weensy Spider is no longer cute. At least Tim found the darn thing and killed it dead.

So I have another 10 days before I can get back to normal.
